We had a handful rearranging the church for a piano concert. But in the midst of getting ready, we had a bible study that evening. “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is,
you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.
That is why the world hates you." John 15: 18-19. We are suppose to act and do differently than those who do not know God and Jesus Christ. Why are we not acting or doing differently? If we are not of this world and do not belong to the world, then why do we act like we belong to the world? I think it is because of our mindset. We have earthly things to accomplish, so we naturally gravitate toward the world and its attributes as well. Maybe we let earthly things accomplish itself and take care of accomplishing heavenly things, then our persona will look differently.
