Thought of the day:  Showing up to events can brighten someone's day. 

Can you picture a party that you were invited to and you did not go?  The next day a friend, who was at the party, walks up to you and asks where were you last night?  Your response, I was at home resting or I had a lot of things to get done.  Your friend's says, oh that's too bad you missed a great party, or well I am glad you got to rest, or asks a question pertaining to your 'things' to do.  All the while, you have nothing in common at that moment to talk about, because you decided to stay home and not go to the party.  What if your presence would have made someone really happy.  What if all you did was fill a seat.  You were not very outgoing and truly tired, but you were there.   Sometimes that is all it takes, showing up.  You know what happens when you do not show up, but you never know what will happen when you do.  It might just make all the difference in the world.
