Luke does not give a long description of his prayer on the Mount of Olives.  Jesus does command the disciples to pray this phrase, as it is mentioned when Jesus first taught them how to pray, 'Pray that you will not give in to temptation.'  To concede to the act of sinning is what Jesus avoided.  If we to do our best in avoiding sin, we must pray this.  We must believe God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit will protect us from committing the act of sin.  It is hard to do, I fail many times daily, but I am sure I could have stronger will power if I prayed daily asking for the help of not giving in to temptation.

Today, I had a discussion about that written scenery in Luke.  It is interesting to look at all four perspectives and to find many similarities.  Also, it is interesting to find different viewpoints of this scene.
