July 25-26, "To This Day"

The phrase "To This Day" would turn many tellers of truth to liars.  People, places, things change over time and those that are true at the time will not be in the future, except for the writings of God's Word. 

⁹ Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” So the place has been called Gilgal^[a] to this day. (Joshua 5:9)

But Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her family and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho—and she lives among the Israelites to this day. (Joshua 6:25)

So Joshua burned Ai and made it a permanent heap of ruins, a desolate place to this day. (Joshua 8:28)

¹⁹ The people of the city said to Elisha, “Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive.”
²⁰ “Bring me a new bowl,” he said, “and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him.
²¹ Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, “This is what the Lord says: ‘I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.’” ²² And the water has remained pure to this day, according to the word Elisha had spoken. (2 Kings 2:19-22)


This is bold and to the extreme to say suicidal, if writer of lies tries to convince people to follow for the sake of power, BUT God is not a liar, is bold, and is the Truth. 


There are many claims of to this day in the Old Testament, especially in the books Joshua-Chronicles.  There are many websites confirming the fact that these things are still here to this day.  There are pictures and proof that you can find.  Study, search keywords, find what is described in the bible as still on Earth to this day.  If that does not help you on your search for the meaning of life, talk to people who have been to Jericho, Jerusalem, and other biblical cities that are still here.  Let them explain how surreal it is and how true and factual the Bible is when it talks about these places and there you are looking at it still to this day.
